Dennis Harold Jackson, 63, passed away Monday, September 13, 2010 in Albany, Tex. Memorial services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday, September 16, 2010 at Texoma Cowboy Church with Pastor Jim Strickland officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Lunn's Colonial Funeral Home.

Dennis was born January 30, 1947 in Wichita Falls to Harold Odell and Helen Marie Dunn Jackson. He served his country in the U.S. Navy. He was retired. Dennis was a former Boy Scout leader. He helped originate the Wichita West Volunteer Fire Department. Dennis was also a member of the Elks Lodge #1105 and was named Elk of the Year for 2010. He was also an avid chili cooker.

Dennis is survived by his wife, Carol of Wichita Falls, two daughters, Denise Brown and her husband Bert, and Kristi Etheredge and her husband John, his father, Harold O. Jackson, all of Wichita Falls, step-son, Joel Gibbs and his wife Allison of Corinth, Tex., a sister, Jan Scott and husband Glenn of Iowa Park, step-sister, Barbara Bruton and husband Dewey of Tecumseh, Okla., two nephews, Kyle Adams and wife Michelle and Bo Adams, and five grandchildren, Devin and Ashley Brown, Chris and Aaron Beaver, and Gentry Gibbs.

The family will be at the funeral home Wednesday evening from 7 to 8 p.m. for visitation.
